World Humanitarian Day

others?’ World Humanitarian day is celebrated worldwide on 19th August and it is dedicated to those who have lost their life working for humanitarian causes. To help others who are in need is a fundamental part of humanity. It also gives us a sense of satisfaction when we can give a smile to the needy. The students of Class 6-D presented an assembly to sensitize the people so as to do humanitarian deeds or good deeds which can change the perspective of a person to become humane. 

ou must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty. The students enacted as Malala Yousafri, Akshay Kumar and Sonu Sood. Aishwarya became Malala Yousafri, girl of Pakistani origin who has worked for the education of girl child. Arnav Goyal became Akshay Kumar, another humanitarian who has donated more than 1 crore for the families of jawans who were martyred in the Pulwama attack. The actor made a charity of Rs 1 Lakh for each bride. There were total of 100 brides to whom he had helped.  Tanishq Anand posed as Sonu Sood who was hailed as the ‘messiah’ of migrant labourers. He has continued to help hundreds of thousands of people during the COVID-19 induced lockdown. Keeping up with his humanitarian gesture, the actor has now extended a helping hand to a famous bat repairer Ashraf Chaudhary battle the financial crisis amid the Coronavirus pandemic.In the video of the speech by UN chief on World Humanitarian day,2019 emphasized that the work of women humanitarians made a huge difference to the lives of millions of people in urgent need. Chitrakshi Gupta, Swaneer Raman and Sumanyu Singhal spoke about the relevance of the day brilliantly.Ronak reinforced and said,” Today is World Humanitarian Day. Let us not forget that we are one humanity.” It marks the anniversary of the bombing of the Canal Hotel in Baghdad, an event in which the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Sergio Vieira de Mellothe and twenty others lost their lives. The video on Good Deeds of the students of class 6-D were presented by Aarav Goel in which the students who have helped the animals by feeding them, giving water to birds, helped the poor by donating clothes and respecting the elders was shown to encourage small efforts to be more thoughtful of the invisible duty we have on our shoulders when God has given us the necessities and the comforts. The video on the song INSAAN also brought another dimension to the special day. Dhruvika and Aanya Chopra also presented a dance performance on the song “kabhi mujhme kabhi bagge se hai zindagi” depicted the pain of the child labourer. We should stop child labour and each one teach one like Ronak Jain has taught the daughter of his maid. It is our actions with which we can contribute to the society. Mr. Dolan Sarkar praised the assembly and encouraged the student’s efforts. Ms. Sunita Rajiv appreciated the students, the class teacher, Ms. Namrata Bahl and the parents for the beautiful assembly. With the words of wisdom from Ms. Sunita Ma’am, the students were motivated to help each other and to the community further.
