Hindi Diwas Special Assembly
Instilling love for one’s language not only cultivates an appreciation and understanding of their culture and but also helps to connect and communicate with one another. To orient students with the importance and strengthen their love for Hindi language, Pre-Primary department of Ahlcon International Schoolconducted virtual assembly on Hindi Diwas on Wednesday, 16th September 2020.
Hindi Diwas is observed on 14 September every year to mark the significance of Hindi language in the country. Hindi is a language of love, togetherness, and brotherhood. It is also the second most language spoken in the world.
Special assembly was held during the online classes where students were encouraged to recite Shlokas and Dohas along with theirconnotations. Thought of the day was spoken by them in Hindi language through which they emphasised on the importance of this language.They were briefed and explained about the origin of Hindi Language and they enacted as famous Hindi poets and authors whose work of poetry and fiction has made rich contributions to the field of Hindi literature. The expressions through which these little ones recited Hindi rhymes and songs were mesmerising.
They astounded everyone with a virtual play on Idgah, a story by Munshi Prem Chand, famous Indian writer who is always remembered for his modern Hindustani literature. Conducting a play on a virtual platform was a great accomplishment for the children. Various other activities like poster making, skit was also performed to enhance awareness in them aboutthe rich heritage of Hindi literature. The program concluded with a dance performance.
Children were appreciated and praised for their efforts by Respected Principal Sir, Headmistress ma’am and AHM ma’am. They were touched by the inspiring speech given by them where they emphasized on the need of honouring and respecting national languages of the country not on a particular day but making it a part of everyday routine.
