Ahlcon International School Mayur Vihar, Phase-1 Welcome cum Introductory Assembly Report-2023

The morning assembly is an integral part of a school’s routine. It not only helps students to start their day on a positive note, but also provides an opportunity for the school community to come together and bond. As the great philosopher Aristotle once said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Therefore, it is essential to make the most of this daily routine to instil good habits and values in students.

 

The Middle school teachers conducted the first assembly of the new session on 11th April 23. The assembly commenced with a prayer thanking the Almighty for His blessings and providing an opportunity for all to lead a balanced life and understand their higher purpose. The programme was steered by Assembly Coordinators Ms. Kanika Wadhera and Ms. Tarannum Bhasin, and it was an excellent way to welcome and introduce the new session to the students. The inspiring quote shared by Ms. Riya and Mr. Venkatesh set the tone for the assembly and encouraged students to face challenges with determination and improve their worth.

 

The assembly continued with a motivational video that highlighted the importance of collaboration and hard work in achieving one’s goals in life. The teachers’ introduction and their portfolios were shared through a PowerPoint presentation, giving students a better understanding of their teachers and their areas of expertise. The assembly also familiarized students with the Middle Section’s norms and code of conduct. Riddles full of moral values were shared with the students, emphasizing the importance of inculcating values and character development from a young age. The Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, The Vice Principal, Mr. Puneet Duggal, and the Headmistress, Ms. Sunanda S. Kumar, welcomed the students to the first assembly in the Auditorium for the year 2023, which was a joyous and memorable occasion that culminated with learning.

 

In conclusion, the first assembly of the new session was an excellent platform for the students to begin their academic year with positivity and inspiration. The morning assembly provides an opportunity to instil good values and habits in students, and the Middle school teachers did an outstanding job of setting the tone for the rest of the year. As the students embark on this new journey, they can look back at this assembly as a great starting point, and it is hoped that they will take away the valuable lessons learned in the assembly and apply them in their daily lives.
