Inter Class Hindi Solo Story Narration Competition- Prep
“We are all storytellers. We all live in a network of stories. There isn’t a stronger connection between people than storytelling.”-Jimmy Neil Smith
Stories are never-ending journeys, hidden talents or suppressed memories, all waiting to be told. Stories help us to solve problems by providing opportunities to try out different actions that might lead to different outcomes.
Stories have the ability to help us learn about others and to find understanding and empathy for them and their situations. Learning to relate to others and empathize with them is very important in developing social skills and making friends.
Keeping this in mind, an Inter Class Hindi Solo Story Narration Competition was conducted for Grade Prep from the Foundation Stage on Wednesday, 23rd August 2023. The theme of the competition was ‘Panchtantra ki Kahaniyan’.
We, at Ahlcon, believe that the stories of the `Panchatantra’ offer us the possibility of making our lives richer and more meaningful. Children narrated stories like ‘The Golden Egg’, ‘Thirsty Crow’, ‘Monkey and the Cat’, etc in Hindi. Some of them were dressed up as characters and presented their story with the use of facial expressions and voice modulation. To captivate the audience’s attention, the little narrators of Prep used props like puppets. Each and every story was recited with a moral. The oratory and presentation skills of tiny tots were outstanding.
The students were also told about ‘World Water Week’ which began on Wednesday 23rd August’23 to spread awareness about water conservation.
Ms. Pallavi explained why Water conservation is necessary to keep water pure and clean while also protecting the environment. Conserving water entails being responsible for our water supply and using it wisely. They were told that we must learn how to keep our limited supply of water pure and free of pollution because everyone depends on it for survival. The Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav and Headmistress, Ms. Pooja Shandilya congratulated the teachers and the students for their efforts and talked about the lifelong learning we acquire from stories.
