Special Assembly on Independence Day

As India celebrates its 76^th Independence Day to commemorate its freedom, 15^th August 2023, is a day of immense pride and joy for all the Indians. This significant day is a celebration of the relentless struggle, sacrifices, and determination of countless heroes who paved the way for India’s sovereignty.

To reflect on the remarkable progress, our nation has achieved over the years and to renew our commitment to the values of unity, diversity, and progress, the Foundation Stage at Ahlcon International School, conducted a Special Assembly on Friday, 11^th August 2023.

The day was commemorated with great pride and enthusiasm as little Ahlconites of Prep B and II – E reverberated our commitment to the values of unity, diversity, and progress of our nation. Children of class Prep B sang a melodious patriotic song as a tribute to all the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. A role play was done wherein children portrayed the roles of some famous leaders like Rani Laxmi Bai, Mangal Pandey, Subhash Chander Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Bhagat Singh etc. To continue this spirit of patriotic fervor, a small Nukkad Natak was outstandingly enacted by little children of Prep B in which they emphasized on the importance of being a true patriot by being good citizens and saving the resources of the country so we can contribute towards the progress of the nation. A video presentation showcasing different values and best practices being followed by our children in their day-to-day life was also shown. Children of class 2 E recited a poem and a dance on patriotism with full enthusiasm. Through this special assembly, children reminded all of us of our collective responsibility to uphold the ideals of freedom and contribute to a stronger, more inclusive India.

The assembly also comprised of an address to students by Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, who laid stress on being a true patriot and respecting the soldiers who are always ready to sacrifice their life for the nation. He was very elated to see the outstanding performances of all the children. Towards the end, Headmistress, Foundation Stage, Ms. Pooja Shandilya addressed the assembly and encouraged everyone with her motivational words and guidance. She applauded the team for a wonderful show.
