Report on session on “Uncovering the Hidden Curriculum”

The session on “Uncovering the Hidden Curriculum” was conducted by Ms. Deepti Sehgal on 25^th August , 2023 . It focused on how the key hidden areas wherein interaction between teachers and students , peer group and classroom play a major role in the child’s socialization, internalizing of gender roles, their perspective about different cultures. The session was very interactive as it incorporated many examples in the form of video clippings from the movie “Stanley ka dibba” and texts from books. The session focused on how awareness of hidden curriculum amongst the teachers can pave a path for more rational attitudes and better, fair future for upcoming generations . With awareness, the teachers can surely , gradually eliminate cultural bias and gender bias.
