Teachers Day & Janmashtami Assembly by Prithvi House

“A teacher plants the seeds of knowledge, sprinkles them with love and patiently nurtures their growth to produce tomorrow’s dreams.”

Teacher’s Day is celebrated in India every year on 5th September to pay tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a visionary educator and to appreciate the role of teachers in the life of students–the leaders of tomorrow. Ahlcon International School, Preparatory Stage celebrated Teachers’ Day and Janmashtami with great joy and enthusiasm. The event was meticulously planned by the team of Prithvi House.

The programme began with a Gratitude Song for teachers by the young Ahlconites followed by a Talk Show with famous Indian teachers of India. Children enacted the roles of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam , Savitri Bai Phule etc. and conveyed beautiful life lessons to children.

Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and divine reincarnations of Lord Vishnu.  To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was also celebrated with great mirth and gaiety at Ahlcon, in the form of the ‘Dance Drama’ based on the life of Lord Krishna presented by the students of classes III to V.

The Principal of the school, Mr. Sanjay Yadav enlightened the children about the significance of both the days, motivated them to appreciate the efforts of teachers and learn the values from the life of Lord Krishna.
