Indo-German Exchange Program-2023
The spirit of cultural exchange and mutual learning was palpable at Ahlcon International School during the much-celebrated Indo-German Exchange Program-2023. From the 13th to the 20th of October, the school proudly hosted 13 students and 2 teachers, Ms. Gaby Schmidt and Ms. Laura Grammig, from Germany. The program aimed to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of each other’s cultures, leaving an indelible mark on all participants.
Students from both countries collaborated under the project theme “Urban Adventures – Delhi and Cologne,” to bridge the gap between their cultures. They explored the urban life of Delhi and Cologne, emphasizing historical, social, and artistic aspects.
The German students actively participated in traditional Indian lessons in school, such as Tabla, Hindi, Sculpture, and Yoga. These sessions provided insight into India’s cultural heritage, fostering appreciation for its values.
Moreover, the educational visits to prominent Indian landmarks, such as Agra, the Akshardham Temple, Delhi Haat, Gandhi Museum, and the Art Museum, further enriched the students’ understanding of India’s vibrant history and cultural diversity. These visits offered a comprehensive view of India’s cultural and historical tapestry, leaving a lasting impression on the participants.
The Indo-German Exchange Program-2023 showcased the power of educational initiatives in cultivating global citizens and promoting cultural empathy.
