“We will always have STEM with us. Some things will drop out of the public eye and go away, but there will always be science, engineering, and technology. There will always be Mathematics.”- Katherine Johnson

Maths is an inspiration because it has answer for every question or problem. Without mathematics, there is nothing we can do. Mathematics Department, Middle Stage organised Maths-Fiesta from 11 Oct to 19th Oct, 2023.

The event had three main objectives:

  • to instill an understanding of Mathematical thinking.
  • to introduce the students to creative thinking, foster logical reasoning and estimation.
  • and to introduce them to Mathematical geniuses like Baudhayan and Shakuntala Devi.

Among creative competitions were ‘My Algebraic Story’ in which students were asked to form Story sums with the help of Algebra in class VI, Health & Percentage Analysis of students in class VII involved finding health related awareness and involvement in sports & meditation.

Among Class VIIIth category, the students prepared My Nature-Superhero/ Supergirl to fight against climatic change and they also designed comic strips with Algebra which was witnessed by the German students who had come for the exchange program.
