Dussehra Assembly

Dussehra festival is celebrated to remember Lord Rama’s triumph over Ravan. It also commemorates goddess Durga’s triumph over Mahishasur in defending the world from him. On Wednesday, 18th October, 2023 students of classes Nursery – C and I – D conducted Special Assembly on the festival of Dussehra.

The assembly started by taking the blessings from the Almighty. Later children of classes Nursery – C and I – D Sang a melodious song to remember Lord Rama and his victory over Ravana.  Two children from Class 1 recited ‘Ram Stuti’  which was well appreciated by the audience. The assembly proceeded With the Monoact which was based on the topic ‘Virtues of the Dashana and GenZ’. It depicted the life of students in school and how can they be an example for their fellow students. Aradhhya Gupta of class I – A was given the title of Ms. Confident for her achievements in various fields.

Later, skit based on ways of celebrating Dussehra in different places of India i.e. in Delhi, Kullu, Gujrat and West Bengal was depicted. Children had a great time learning about Ravan Dahan, Durga Puja, Rath Yatra, Dandiya and Garbha through short plays and mesmerising dance performances.

The assembly concluded by taking blessings from honourable Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Vice Principal Mr. Puneet Duggal, Headmistress (Foundation Stage) Ms. Pooja Shandilya and Headmistress (Middle Stage) Ms. Sunanda Kumar. They appreciated the students and teachers for their efforts in making the assembly a grand event.
