Report on Session ‘Learning 2 Learn’

Language is the cornerstone of human communication and understanding. It transcends borders, cultures, and time, allowing us to express thoughts, emotions, and knowledge. Its power lies in its versatility, enabling the conveyance of complex ideas or simple expressions of love.

Ms. Kakoli Logani (Incharge) and Ms. Tanu Mathur of Foundation Stage I had the privilege of attending a workshop based on Karadi Tales ‘Learning 2 Learn’, a renowned platform for storytelling and children’s literature, on Saturday, 4th November 2023 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Mayur Vihar.

The workshop provided an opportunity to explore the world of storytelling and its significance in children’s education. It aimed to enlighten educators, parents, and individuals interested in storytelling about the impact of stories on a child’s development. The workshop focused on various aspects of storytelling and incorporated interactive sessions to engage participants.

There were some key highlights of the Workshop:

  1. Storytelling Techniques: The resource people shared different storytelling techniques, including voice modulation, body language, and the art of capturing a child’s imagination through words.
  2. Importance of Narration: The speakers emphasized the importance of narration and how it enhances language skills, creativity, and critical thinking in children.
  3. Karadi Tales Resources: Participants were introduced to the vast collection of Karadi Tales books, audiobooks, and videos, and how these resources can be integrated into education and parenting.
  4. Interactive Activities: The workshop also featured interactive activities that allowed participants to practice storytelling and receive constructive feedback from the facilitators.
  5. Panel Discussion: A panel of experts discussed the role of storytelling in early childhood education, sharing valuable insights and experiences.

Practical techniques for effective storytelling, ways to engage young audiences, and awareness of the resources available through Karadi Tales for enhancing children’s language and literacy skills were some of the major highlights of the session.

The workshop provided a deeper understanding of the significance of storytelling in a child’s overall development.
