Nursery Fancy Dress Competition

On Friday, 1^st December 2023, Ahlcon International School hosted the Fancy Dress Competition for its Nursery students. It aimed to instill a sense of awareness about Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among our little stars. The theme of the competition was deliberated to impart a sense of responsibility, empathy, and being actively involved in building a better and more sustainable future from the very beginning of their educational journey.

The competition not only helped in fostering creativity and innovation but also served as a powerful tool in cultivating early awareness and understanding of global issues related to sustainability among our youngest learners.

The change makers adorned in imaginative costumes embraced the spirit of sustainability, embodying various SDGs. From miniature eco-warriors promoting clean energy to adorable conservationists. Each child showcased creativity and understanding of global challenges.

Teachers and students alike marvelled at the creativity displayed by the Nursery class. The enthusiasm of the children was contagious, creating an atmosphere of joy and learning. The event proved to be a perfect platform for introducing complex topics in an effective yet simple manner. Our students took the pledge ‘SAY NO TO PLASTIC’ which fostered a sense of accountability among the youngest members of our school community.

The Fancy Dress Competition was not just a display of adorable costumes but a celebration of awareness and understanding of Sustainable Development Goals. These tiny sparks of enthusiasm are the promise of a brighter, more sustainable future.

The competition culminated with words of wisdom from honourable Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav and Headmistress, Foundation Stage, Ms. Pooja Shandilya. They acknowledged the parents, students’ contributions, and teachers’ efforts in making the competition a successful event.
