Report on Digit 8.0 (IT FEST)

“George Couras once wisely remarked that while technology can never replace exceptional teachers, it can certainly amplify their impact when wielded effectively.

This sentiment was brought to life at DIGIT 8.0, a dynamic computer fest held on July 5th and 6th, 2024, at Ahlcon International School. Over 430 students from classes III to XII enthusiastically participated in a diverse array of 20 events meticulously crafted to cater to every age group.

The fest, a cornerstone of Ahlcon’s annual calendar, featured competitions like Digicomic, Digibinder, Digicode, Digiposter, Digitivity, Digiprmo, Digishot, and more, each designed to foster creativity and technical prowess among the Ahlconites. The event kicked off with a spirited inauguration on July 5th, followed by an online first round adjudicated by teachers and alumni.

On July 6th, finalists converged in the school’s computer labs for the offline final round, where they were evaluated by esteemed alumni and guests including Ms. Deepti Sehgal, Ms. Priyanka Tiwari, and Ms. Urvashi. The event culminated in a celebration of achievement, with Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav and Vice Principal Mr. Puneet Duggal commending the Computer Science Department and the Digit team for orchestrating yet another successful and transformative event.

Through DIGIT 8.0, Ahlcon International School not only showcased the ingenuity and skill of its students but also demonstrated how technology, when guided by dedicated educators, can empower young minds and pave the way for future innovation.”
