Inter Class Hindi Story Telling Competition Prep

“Stories are the common ground that allow people to connect, despite all our defenses and all our differences.” – Kate Forsyth

Narrating stories helps children expand their vocabulary, improve sentence structure, and enhance their overall language skills. It allows them to practice using language in a meaningful context and to experiment with different words and phrases.

We, at Ahlcon Foundation Stage, believe that stories allow children to express their emotions and feelings through narratives. They can explore different emotions within their stories and learn to empathize with their characters’ experiences.

Keeping this in mind, an Inter Class Hindi Solo Story Narration Competition was conducted for Grade Prep from the Foundation Stage on Wednesday, 10th July 2024. The theme of the competition was ‘Panchtantra ki Kahaniyan’. Children narrated stories like ‘Lion and the Mouse’, ‘Thirsty Crow’, ‘The Story of a Tree, ‘The Golden Egg’, etc in Hindi. Some of them were dressed up as characters and presented their story with the use of facial expressions and voice modulation. To captivate the audience’s attention, the little narrators of Prep used props like puppets, posters, and creative masks. Each story was recited with a moral.

Speaking in front of others and sharing their stories boosted children’s self-confidence. It helped them overcome shyness, and fear of public speaking, and develop a sense of pride in their abilities.

The Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, and Headmistress, Ms. Pooja Shandilya congratulated the students, parents, and teachers for their efforts, and confidence of the students and also talked about the lifelong learning we all acquire from stories.
