Janmashtami Assembly

Do everything you have to do, but not with greed, not with ego, not with envy but with love, compassion, humility, and devotion. – Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita.

On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, the students of Foundation Stage, Ahlcon International School, Prep A organized a delightful assembly on Wednesday, 23rd August’24 that left the audience mesmerized. With their innocence and enthusiasm, the young children brought alive the essence of Lord Krishna’s teachings and life through a series of performances.

The Assembly began by invoking the Almighty with Diya Lighting by the Principal and Headmistress.   The Heads performed the Aarti, followed by the song ‘ Achutum Keshavm Krishna Damodaram…’ by our little Ahlconites. The premise was decorated beautifully and the spirit of festivity was enhanced by depicting the life history of Lord Krishna.

The assembly commenced with a soulful Krishna bhajan, sung melodiously by the students. Their sweet voices filled the room with devotion and reverence, setting a serene and spiritual tone for the event. The bhajan beautifully captured the devotion to Lord Krishna, and the audience was visibly moved by the students’ heartfelt performance.

Following the bhajan, the students performed a short yet impactful presentation of Geeta Updesh, where the key teachings from the Bhagavad Gita were shared in a simplified manner. The little ones, dressed as Krishna and Arjuna depicted the famous scene from the Mahabharata with grace and confidence. The students portrayed how Lord Krishna’s wisdom guided Arjuna in his moment of doubt, reminding everyone of the timeless lessons of duty, righteousness, and selflessness.

The highlight of the assembly was the role play in which the students showcased small life lessons inspired by Krishna’s stories. They depicted various scenarios from Krishna’s childhood, such as the stealing of butter, his playfulness with his friends, and his defeat of Kalia, the serpent. Each of these acts taught important values such as friendship, kindness, bravery, and the triumph of good over evil. The young performers embodied their roles with charm and energy, much to the delight of the audience.

The assembly concluded with a lively and colorful dance performance. Dressed in traditional attire, the students danced to rhythmic tunes celebrating the joyous spirit of Janmashtami. Their graceful movements and bright smiles made for a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere, leaving everyone in awe of their talent and coordination.

Overall, the Janmashtami assembly was a grand success. Through their enchanting performances, the students emphasized following the SDGs in their daily lives. Students not only celebrated the festival but also imparted valuable lessons of love, devotion, and morality. The audience, comprising teachers, and fellow students, applauded the efforts of these young performers and their teachers, making the event truly memorable.

The Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, and the Headmistress, Ms. Pooja Shandilya, extended their blessings to all the students on this special occasion. As always, they encouraged everyone to look forward rather than dwell on the past. Their inspiring words beautifully captured the essence of celebrating festivals of devotion and the meaningful values they impart.
