Nimble Finger Week- Art and Clay Competition 2024

Art possesses a unique power, enabling individuals to discover and embrace their true selves. At Ahlcon International School, we recognize the importance of nurturing the artistic spirit within every child, believing in providing them with the tools and opportunities to flourish. In alignment with this belief, the Art department in the Foundation Stage organized the Nimble Stroke, an Intra and Inter-house Competition, in August 2024 for Classes I & II.

The event aimed to unleash the creativity of our students, guiding them to transform their imagination into tangible expressions. The competition served as a testament to our commitment to fostering creativity. Winners of the Intra-house Competition were given another opportunity to showcase their talents in the Inter-house Competition held on 27^th and 28^th August 2024 . The theme, ‘Marine World’ for Class I and ‘My Magical World’ for Class II, inspired students to explore and depict their imaginative realms in the competition.

Through Clay modeling children could comprehend the three-dimensional aspects of objects while enhancing their eye-hand coordination, planning, and constructive techniques. It also fostered color recognition and encouraged learning through trial and error and play-based exploration.

The theme of the Clay competition was ‘Earthy Life’ ( SDG-15 Life on Land). This competition provided a perfect platform for young creative minds to bring their colorful fantasies to life. It was a joy to witness the children’s delicate fingers crafting vibrant and artistic models of butterflies, ducks, tortoises, snails, octopuses, snakes, and more. The Clay Modelling Competition truly embodied a continuum of creativity.
