Teachers’ Day Special Assembly

Teacher’s Day is celebrated every year to honor and express our gratitude towards the educators who shape our lives. It is a day of reflection on the significant role that teachers play in our personal and academic development. This day holds special importance at Ahlcon International School, where we deeply value the dedication and guidance provided by our teachers.

On Wednesday, 4th September’24, the students of Nursery A and Prep B Foundation Stage dedicated a special assembly to their teachers. The day began with a heartfelt tribute, recognizing the pivotal role that teachers play in nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning.

The assembly was a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, starting with a group song titled “Shukriya,” where students took the center stage to express their thanks to their teachers. Vedansh Sharma from Nursery A eloquently spoke about Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and his teachings, making it a significant moment in the assembly.

The assembly included a special segment where teachers were called on stage and felicitated with tokens of love. This gesture brought immense pride and joy to the teachers, as they were acknowledged in such a special way. Teachers from Nursery, Prep, Class I & II, and all the activity teachers were honored, adding extra excitement to the event.

A touching video presentation followed, where the children took a moment to thank not only their school teachers but also those who teach them life lessons daily—like their parents, grandparents, and others who contribute to their growth and learning.

One of the most interesting segments was “Shiksha Pe Charcha,” where the children of Ahlcon welcomed guests and educators, including eminent personalities who have made significant contributions to education and children’s rights. Tiny comperes interviewed their friends, who were dressed as Sudha Murthy, Kailash Satyarthi, and Anand Kumar of Super 30, bringing a unique charm to the assembly.

The assembly’s highlight was the musical act titled “Shuruaat Se Ek Naye Shitij Tak: The Progression Act,” which took everyone on a journey from the nurturing of a child by their mother to the transformative stages of school life. Starting from the Foundation Stage, progressing through the Preparatory and Middle Stages, and culminating in the Secondary Stage, the act beautifully depicted how big dreams of career and life begin with tiny steps. The children took the opportunity to thank the guiding lights of the school, President Sir and Chairperson Ma’am, for their support and guidance.

The little ones dressed as heads and teachers surprised everyone with their confidence, articulation, and theater skills. Students were acknowledged and appreciated for their outstanding performances, and teachers and parents were commended for training them so well.

The assembly was applauded by the dignitaries, and the Headmistress, Foundation Stage, Ms. Pooja Shandilya, praised the children for their exceptional performances, offering words of encouragement. Admin Officer, Mr. Gaurav Sharma, Headmistress – Middle Stage, Ms. Sunanda S. Kumar, Headmistress – Senior Section, Ms. Ekta Kandhari, also appreciated the students for their exceptional performances.

The assembly concluded with a vote of thanks expressed by the teachers and students of Nursery A and Prep B, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
