SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY AND INTERNATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY
On 15th October 2024, students of Class 6A celebrated a special assembly on two major themes: World Mental Health Day and International Girl Child Day, showcasing vibrant performances that captivated the audience.
The assembly aimed to:
– Raise awareness about mental health and well-being
– Promote gender equality and empower girls
– Combat stereotypes and foster inclusivity
The event began with a soulful invocation, setting a reflective tone. This was followed by an inspiring thought, emphasizing the significance of a positive mindset and the power of joyfulness in everyday life. The news headlines presented next seamlessly connected the day’s themes to current national events, providing a broader context.
A heartfelt poem dedicated to the Girl Child deeply moved the audience, celebrating the strength and potential of girls everywhere. Additionally, a powerful role-play on mental health underscored the importance of mental and emotional well-being. It vividly demonstrated positive ways to respond to challenges, making the performance both educational and impactful.
The highlight of the assembly was a dance performance beautifully capturing the significance of the girl child. Through expressive movements and compelling storytelling, it conveyed the importance of empowering girls and recognizing their potential, inspiring the audience to support and uplift girls in every way possible.
The assembly concluded with an insightful address by the Vice Principal, Mr. Puneet Duggal, who commended the students’ creativity and enthusiasm, encouraging them to carry forward the spirit of positivity. The Headmistress Middle Stage, Ms. Sunanda S. Kumar, also lauded the students for their confidence and flawless execution of the program.
