SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON ‘RASTRIYA EKTA DIWAS’ ASSEMBLY
“Manpower without unity is not a strength unless it is harmonized and united properly, then it becomes a spiritual power”– Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel
On 5th November 2024 the students of class VI- D presented an amazing and thrilling assembly on the theme Rastriya Ekta Diwas.
The assembly aimed to:
– Nurture unity, not just through words, but through imbibing a feeling of brotherhood and respect for each other’s traditions and culture.
– Emphasize diversity is not a challenge, but a treasure.
– Celebration of Amritkaal & Incredible India( Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat)
The assembly celebrated National Unity Day, emphasizing the importance of unity in diversity. A thoughtful message about the significance of diversity, inspired by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel—known as the “Man of Unity”—was presented in multiple languages to reflect India’s cultural richness. The event marked the anniversary of Patel’s birth, a key figure in India’s political integration. Comperes introduced each segment, including news headlines, a role play on unity, and a PowerPoint presentation on the relevance of National Unity Day.
In a role play, students represented people from various regions and religions of India, sharing a friendly discussion about India’s cultural, linguistic, and religious diversity. The dialogue highlighted that the Indian Constitution upholds the freedom to practice one’s faith, speak different languages, and follow diverse customs. This respect for differences, they concluded, is what makes India truly remarkable.
Class VI-D performed the song “One Heart, One Voice” to celebrate the unity message, and a segment of the assembly was dedicated to discussing Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and the “Statue of Unity” in Gujarat, the world’s tallest statue. The day’s theme emphasized that India’s strength lies in its unity, with the slogan “united we stand, divided we fall.” A quiz competition and a book review further engaged students in learning about India’s unity in diversity.
The Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, praised the students and the teacher for their dedication, explaining the significance of Unity Day and encouraging everyone to uphold the spirit of Ekta Diwas. The Headmistress, Ms. Sunanda S. Kumar, also applauded the efforts, affirming the school’s commitment to secular values and mutual respect as essential parts of Incredible India.
