Annual Day Celebration: ‘भारतीय धरोहर: आलौकिक समृद्धि’

 “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

These profound words set the tone for the Annual Day celebration at Ahlcon International School, held on Saturday, 18th January 2025. The event commenced with a warm and inspiring welcome address by the Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, who emphasized the importance of holistic education and cultural preservation.

The event was a vibrant tapestry of creativity, talent, and tradition, brought to life by the dynamic students of Class 8, an in-house production with 100% participation making it a truly inclusive and collective effort. With the theme ‘भारतीय धरोहर, अलौकिक समृद्धि’, the program delved into the rich heritage of India, the evolution of human endeavours, and the unbreakable bond with Mother Earth.

The occasion was graced by an illustrious gathering of dignitaries, including Chief Guest Major General Pramod Saighal (Retd.) and Mrs. Saighal; Padmashree awardees Ms. Nalini Asthana and Ms. Kamalini Asthana; renowned Bharat Natyam exponent Ms. Sindhu Mishra; eminent guest Shri Arun Sahay along with the presence of President, Shri Bikramjeet Ahluwalia; Madam President, Smt. Sudarshan Ahluwalia; and Chairperson, Dr. Rohini Ahluwalia. Their presence added grace and grandeur to the occasion.

The celebration unfolded as a feast for the senses, with breath-taking dance performances that blended tradition and modernity, resonant tabla recitals showcasing the rhythm of dedication, and soulful songs that stirred the hearts of the audience. The spellbinding Sufi Sangeet was a highlight, transporting everyone to a realm of peace and spiritual harmony. The crown jewel of the event was the dance drama, ‘The Rhythms of Legacy,’ a masterful production that portrayed humanity’s journey through the ages while paying homage to the nurturing spirit of Mother Earth. Each performance was a testament to the students’ hard work, creativity, and passion, leaving the audience enthralled and inspired.

The event also featured an enlightening speech by Major General Saighal, who urged the students to embrace resilience, leadership, and values. The addresses by the President and Chairperson further uplifted the gathering with their words of wisdom and lauded the students’ efforts and commended the school for its commitment to fostering talent and cultural appreciation.

As the event drew to a close, a solemn pledge to protect and nurture Mother Earth resonated as a powerful reminder of shared responsibility toward sustainability and conservation.
