Welcome-cum-Introductory Assembly Programme
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” — Benjamin Franklin
The Welcome-cum-Introductory Assembly Programme for Middle Stage students was conducted on 8th April 2025 in the school auditorium. The event marked a warm beginning to the academic year and was designed to build a strong connection between the students and the teaching faculty.
The main aims of the programme were to:
– Introduce the teaching staff to the Middle Stage students,
– Help students understand the roles and portfolios of the faculty members,
– Foster a strong sense of unity and school spirit.
The assembly began on an uplifting note with a harmonious prayer sung by the teachers’ choir, invoking blessings for a fruitful academic journey. This was followed by an inspiring thought from the Hitopadesha, presented in four languages—English, Hindi, Sanskrit, and German—highlighting the profound idea that true education nurtures humility, which in turn paves the way to wisdom and inner contentment.
A captivating story was then presented by Ms. Swati, inspiring students to trust their own potential. Her storytelling was both engaging and thought-provoking, leaving a strong impact on the young minds.
The faculty members then took the stage to introduce themselves, showcasing their enthusiasm and commitment to the students’ growth. An interactive quiz by Ms. Smriti Chandra added a fun element, with students participating actively and displaying great energy.
The Headmistress, Ms. Sunanda S. Kumar, encouraged students to strive for success and assured them of the teachers’ support throughout their journey.
In all, the Welcome-cum-Introductory Assembly was a meaningful and engaging start to the academic year, fostering a sense of belonging among students and staff.
