New Nursery Orientation Programme

Education plays a significant role in children and adolescents’ health and well-being and has a lasting impact on their lives as adults. The Pre-Primary Department began the New Nursery academic session of the Tiny Tots at Ahlcon International School with an interactive Orientation Programme on Saturday, 2^nd April 2022, for the parents of the Pre-Schoolers, in the school auditorium. The programme was hosted by the Staff to make parents comfortable with the school system, making them aware of the school vision, mission, curriculum, and ethos. The event was graced by the Chairperson Dr. Rohini Ahluwalia, Director Dr. Ashok Kumar Pandey, Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav, and the Assistant Headmistress of the Pre-Primary Section Ms. Pooja Shandilya.

One of the objectives of the Orientation Programme was to demonstrate how the curriculum involves self-directed, hands-on learning activities which not only gives a platform to the child’s creative talents and energies but also help in the all-around holistic development of the child. The programme commenced with the Pre-Primary teachers welcoming the majestic gathering and seeking blessings from the Almighty through a prayer.

The parents were given a glimpse of how early years are a milestone in a child’s life as it is the initial stage of organized instruction, designed primarily to introduce their children to a school-type environment. The teachers spoke about the balanced role of parents and schools in the upbringing of children. The other highlights were a presentation by the teachers about different domains of Child Development, School Curriculum, Innovative Pedagogies used to teach the curriculum, and the Co-Curricular activities.

The Orientation helped outline and reaffirm the teachers’ and parents’ role as partners in the progress of their child. It was concluded that parents play a vital role in the educational system, and they need to fully co-operate with the school, and honour its rules and procedures so that the teachers can work together with them for the full flowering and optimum development of their wards.

Our dignitaries welcomed the new members of the Ahlcon family and assured them of meeting all their aspirations. Chairperson, Dr. Rohini Ahluwalia, in her visionary outlook for parents, highlighted the importance of spending quality time with the children. She also encouraged parents to share why Ahlcon International was their first choice to which a parent replied and appreciated the capacity in which the school has been able to adapt to the teaching methodology keeping in mind the fast-changing times and applauded the sincere endeavours of the institution in adjusting to the online mode of learning. Director of Ahlcon Group of Schools, Dr. Ashok Kumar Pandey also congratulated the parents on starting this new journey with the school and assured them of providing the best amenities and quality education to their wards. Principal, Mr Sanjay Yadav in his address, enlightened parents that every child is unique with an innate capability and potential to write his own beautiful journey. Assistant Headmistress, Ms. Pooja Shandilya also laid stress on the combined efforts of stakeholders and educators in ensuring the overall development of children and how shaping the bright future of children crucially lies in the initial years of their growth. The programme concluded with a one-to-one session wherein the parents got the opportunity of interacting with the respective class teachers of their wards.
