Annual Sports Day –‘आरोग्यम – ओजस जीवन का’

Buddha aptly guided, “To keep the body in good health is a duty… otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.”

With this soul aim amidst great mirth, verve, and camaraderie-Ahlcon International School celebrated Annual Sports Day – A magnificent sports extravaganza “आरोग्यम–ओजस जीवन  का”on Saturday, 10thDecember 2022 at the grounds of Ahlcon Public School.

A galaxy of renowned personalities from the field of sports and education -Retd. Colonel Rajinder Singh Bhanwala, Ms Pinki Singh, Mr Raj Kumar Sharma, Col. Puja Dudeja, President, Ahlcon Group of Schools, Shri Bikramjit Ahluwalia, and Madam President Smt. Sudarshan Ahluwalia,Chairperson, Dr. Rohini Ahluwalia, Advisor to the President SDPES, Dr. Ashok Pandey, Principal Ahlcon International School, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Principal, Dr. Deepak Bisht, Admin Heads, HMs, AHMs, many other distinguished dignitaries, valuable stakeholders’- parents and teachers graced the occasion.

It commenced with Flag Hoisting, Oath Ceremony, and Torch Relay. Principal-Ahlcon International School Mr. Sanjay Yadav welcomed the august gathering. The event saw a series of performances by the versatile Ahlconites of Classes I to XI. A musical performance, ‘Dhwani Pratidhwani,’ by the school orchestra and a melodious rendition of school song. School Band lead the March past by the four Houses. Numerous performances like Prop Drills, Martial Arts, Aerobics, Yoga, Dynamic Formations, Pyramids, Rhythmic drill etc. were a real treat for ears and eyes. Grand finale was indeed the concoction of all the events. The thunderous sounds of the compering team echoed pleasantly.

The highlights of the day were incomplete without a special mention about of the flat and creative races, here parents also participated in a three-legged creative race apart from the routine flat races.

Chief Guest and other eminent dignitaries felicitated the rightful winners with medals and certificates. The Best House trophy was awarded to Neer House from the Senior section and in the Primary section, Prithvi house bagged the Best House trophy.

Our eminent dignitaries were truly spellbound and appreciated the zealous endeavours of Ahlconites in their speeches.

Eventually, the event was concluded with over 1800 participants took to the ground and symbolized the success of the event. One of the most significant components of this event, आरोग्यम – ओजस जीवन का’ was the 99% participation by the students.

Everyone acknowledged, appreciated, and applauded the efforts of the school for putting up such a mega event successfully.
