REPORT- EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

In order to raise awareness and support for environmental protection, Earth Day was celebrated through a special assembly by the Science Department Middle Section of Ahlcon International School on 22nd April 2023. This global phenomenon was brought to light via a video on ‘Eco Warriors’ who are diligently fighting the climate change. Our comperes for the day Anushka Jha and Aarav held the audience captivated by their multilingual compering. The informational video on microplastics highlighted how detrimental they are for the environment as they have far-reaching negative consequences for the health of our planet and its inhabitants. The thought-provoking speech by Anika and Prableen brought to the fore-front the exemplary efforts being made by Ahlcon International School which range from planting trees for combating climate change to promoting sustainable practices by reducing our carbon footprints.
The enthusiastic participation of students in the dance rendition ‘The Green Beats’ by Classes VI-B and VII-F commemorated our benevolent Mother Earth and sensitized everyone about the conservation of environment. Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, inspired the students to be the change-makers and motivated them to do their bit towards making the planet even more beautiful. HM- Middle Section, Ms. Sunanda S. Kumar, invigorated the young minds towards the conservation of the Planet Earth and asked students to thank the Mother Earth for all its bountiful gifts in the form of all flora, fauna and beautiful landscapes.
The day reverberated the desire in the students to save the Mother Earth and rekindled the emotive concerns and instigated them to save, love and respect Mother Nature with all their heart and soul.
