Workshop- Inner Winners Act Sharp

An engaging and a mindful Inhouse Workshop ‘Inner Winners Act Sharp’ on the theme of ‘Co-operative and Collaborative Learning in Classrooms, was conducted on Monday, 7th August 2023 in the Phonetic Lab. The Resource Persons, Ms. Neeti Vij, Ms. Tina Chopra, Mr. Hari Krishan Mallik and Ms. Nupur Gahlot idea behind taking this theme was to generate ideas to bring in cooperation, teamwork, and collaboration among the students. The workshop emphasized upon the importance of collaboration and co-operation among the students to develop higher level thinking skills and to enhance their oral communication with each other.

To pass on the knowledge, the workshop started with the Ice Breaking Activity – ‘Line Up Game’ where the participants were asked to line up themselves into an alphabetical order with the first letter of their names arranged alphabetically. It was followed up by Puzzle activity, where they were asked to colour the pieces independently and then to complete the puzzle. The catch was to search for the missing part by collaborating with the other teams and finding out the right part to complete it. They were made aware of various strategies to create the classroom environment co-operative and collaborative, in order to increase student retention, self esteem and the sense of responsibility. Another task of working in cooperation among the team members was to create a slogan, a poem, a story, a nukkad natak, a role play and a drawing related to SDG Goal 5- Gender Equality was assigned to them. Later, the team leaders came together and shared the flow of the items to be presented in front of the audience after collaborating with each other. Technology also plays an important role in global connectivity and collaborating in the field of learning and education around the world. These activities were not only fun but also helped in the development of the sense of teamwork and keeping a positive attitude towards others.

The workshop was applauded by all the participating teachers and they participated whole heartedly during the workshop. It was highly appreciated by the Headmistress ma’am, Ms. Pooja Shandilya who emphasized upon the importance of teamwork and collaboration among teachers and students for the holistic development of all and to connect around the world.
