The Class X-D conducted a special assembly on ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’ and ‘National Small-Scale Industries Day’ on 23rd August 2023 with students showcasing their ingenious and artful sides.
The assembly focused mainly on Sustainable Development Goal number 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Instituitions.
Sadbhavana Diwas or Harmony Day is celebrated on 20th August every year in the memory of India’s youngest former prime minister – Rajiv Gandhi. The central theme of the day is to foster goodwill and understanding among diverse communities, creating an atmosphere of mutual respect and coordination. On the other hand, Rashtriya Laghu Udyog Diwas or National Small-Scale Industries Day is celebrated on 30th August every year to mark the importance of those industries in which the process of manufacturing, production and servicing are done on a small scale but still contribute to inclusive growth by providing opportunities for employment and income generation.
Ahana Kwatra, Naitika Gupta, Rishika Agarwal and Vanshika Tiwari were the moderators of the day. The students presented news and historical facts throwing light on different events that had took place on 23rd August over the years.
An awestruck performance by Madhav Maheshwari, portraying the stimulating character of Rajiv Gandhi.
A self-composed poem ‘Sadbhavana Ki Aur’ (Towards Goodwill) was recited by Ananya Mishra which focused on bringing peace and harmony for preserving humanity.
The highlight of the assembly was Nukkad Natak, where all the students participated enthusiastically and conveyed the message of harmony and goodwill through their astounding skills.
The students took a pledge on Sadbhavana Diwas to promote peace and harmony, respect each other, and protect the brotherhood and develop love and understanding among all the citizens. This day marked the beginning of a new journey with a sense of collective belonging amongst all.
The curtain was drawn with blessings, commendations and motivational words by The Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav and The Head Secondary Stage, Dr. Ekta K. Ratra.
