TRIP TO SHIMLA

With an aim to explore the rich cultural and natural heritage of Himachal Pradesh, Ahlcon International School organised an exciting three-day trip to Kufri, Chail, and Shimla  from 6th to 8th June 2024.

The entire group left from school early in the morning and reached Kufri by evening. The mountains welcomed us with its serene landscapes and cool weather. Students visited the Himalayan Nature Park, and  saw various species of flora and fauna native to the region. The highlight was interacting with Himalayan Monal, the state bird of Himachal Pradesh.

On day two, we headed towards Chail, a quaint hill station known for its lush greenery and serene ambiance. In Chail, we visited the Chail Palace, which once served as the summer retreat for the Maharaja of Patiala. The palace’s architecture and the sprawling gardens left us awe-struck. We visited the Himalayan Nature Park, where we saw various species of flora and fauna native to the region. The highlight was interacting with Himalayan Monal, the state bird of Himachal Pradesh amidst thick pine forests.

On the last day, we travelled to Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh where we visited the Mall Road, Ridge, and Christ Church, absorbing the colonial charm and shopping for souvenirs.

Heading back to Delhi everyone marveled at the panoramic views of Shimla.

The school trip to Kufri, Chail, and Shimla was an enriching experience for all of us. It not only provided us with insights into the cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh but also allowed us to appreciate the natural beauty of the Himalayan region. The trip fostered camaraderie among students and teachers alike, creating memories.
