Celebrating Freedom:  Independence Day Assembly

“Independence Day is not just a day to celebrate our freedom. It’s a day to showcase our unity, harmony, and strength as a nation.”

Agni House, Preparatory Stage, organized the 77th Independence Day Assembly on 14th August in the school auditorium to commemorate the country’s independence. The event commenced with a heartfelt prayer, asking for the Almighty’s blessings followed by a warm welcome of the school heads, teachers and students.

The first performance, a moving rendition of “Bhavatu Bharatam,” struck a chord with everyone, reminding us of our shared heritage. A PowerPoint presentation titled “Freedom’s Footsteps” followed, which took us on a visual journey through key moments in our fight for independence.

The highlight of the day was the skit “Azadi Ka Matwale” which brought to life the painful history of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. It reminded everyone of the sacrifices made for the country’s freedom. This was followed by a vibrant dance performance “Mai Naye Bharat Ka Chehra Hoon”, showcasing the dynamism and spirit of our nation.

The assembly concluded with motivating words from our Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav and Vice Principal, Mr. Puneet Duggal, who appreciated the efforts of students and teachers. They also reinforced the importance of honoring and building upon the legacy of our freedom fighters.

Overall, the celebration was a resounding success. Agni House put together a memorable program that not only entertained but also inspired us to appreciate and uphold the values of our freedom.
