Teacher’s Day Assembly 2024
“The one who is enlightened through education and knowledge has a duty to help others to see the light.” — Swami Vivekananda
Teachers’ Day was celebrated with pomp and grandeur on Tuesday, 3rd September 2024. The program was organized by the Mathematics Department and held in the school auditorium.
The objectives of the assembly were:
To honour and appreciate the contributions of teachers.
To highlight the vital role of teachers in students’ lives.
To encourage student participation and showcase their talents.
Mr. Puneet Duggal (Vice Principal), Ms. Ekta Ratna (Academic Head Senior Stage), Ms. Sunanda S. Kumar (HM Middle Stage), Ms. Kavita Shah (HM Preparatory Stage), and Ms. Pooja Sandilya (HM Foundation Stage) were the dignitaries who graced the program. The dignitaries and teachers were welcomed with handmade title bouquets and chocolates, and titles were announced department-wise.
A role play titled “Lessons Brought to Life” helped students understand how miserable life would be without teachers. In the play, a child named Jai dreams of his teacher, who had left the school, and finds himself in chaos. He later realizes his mistake and resolves not to disrespect his teachers, emphasizing the message that true teachers help us think for ourselves.
Our teachers have always been the guiding lights of our lives. Although it is unfair to celebrate their achievements and dedication on just one day out of the 365 days, Teachers’ Day is a reminder of their profound impact on our lives and how they have helped us become who we are today.
The students performed various cultural activities, including dance, songs, recitations, and drama. A student of Class VIII also delivered a self-composed poem dedicated to Teachers’ Day. The program concluded with a dance of honour.
The Vice Principal appreciated the efforts of everyone involved in organizing the Teachers’ Day assembly program. The organizing team was commended for their work, including those who choreographed the dance and designed the paper bouquets for the teachers. Additionally, the support from various departments was acknowledged. The program was a grand success.
