English Solo Rhyme Competition- Nursery

Recitation and rhymes play a vital role in the life of small kids, offering a wide range of benefits that lay the foundation for future success. Through rhymes and recitation, children develop essential language skills, including phonological awareness, vocabulary, and communication.

Knowing the boundless benefits rhymes have on small children, the Foundation Stage of Ahlcon International School, on Wednesday, July 31st 2024, organized an ‘Inter Class English Solo Rhyme Recitation Competition’ on the theme ‘Nature‘ for Classes Nursery.  The event aimed to not only raise awareness and promote appreciation for the beauty and importance of nature among young stewards but also inspire a sense of wonder and curiosity about the natural world in them. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students who recited rhymes and poems related to nature, exploring topics such as birds, animals, water bodies, trees, and insects. The students were judged on their voice modulation, actions, expressions, clarity of speech, creative props, makeup, and confidence level. The judges were impressed by the students’ innovative and engaging performances. The event was a piece of evidence of the student’s hard work and dedication to the theme. The competition witnessed the creativity of the children, as they showcased their impressive costumes and props made entirely out of waste and sustainable materials. The competition was a wonderful platform for them to develop their public speaking skills and build confidence. The competition was a wonderful opportunity for our students to express their creativity and showcase their knowledge about nature.

The moment of excitement arrived as the winners were announced, and certificates were distributed to the proud recipients. The beaming smiles on their faces reflected their joy and accomplishment. The recognition of their hard work and talent was a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and creativity.

The event culminated with a heartfelt appreciation from our Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, who commended the children for their outstanding efforts and wonderful performances. He also appreciated the support of parents and teachers in making this event a memorable experience for our students. Headmistress, Ms. Pooja Shandilya also applauded the students for their confidence, expression, and overall presentation. Her words of encouragement and praise boosted the morale of the participants, making the experience even more rewarding.
