Visit to Korean Cultural Centre by Middle Stage Students
On 27th September 2024, 31 students from the middle stage had the exciting opportunity to visit the Korean Cultural Centre, where they immersed themselves in the vibrant and diverse aspects of Korean culture. The visit provided a hands-on learning experience that left the students both fascinated and enriched.
Objectives of the Visit:
– To help students understand and appreciate the richness of Korean culture, including traditional customs, values, and practices.
– To provide exposure to the Korean language, including basic phrases, pronunciation, and its cultural relevance.
– To introduce students to significant aspects of Korean history and heritage, including historical landmarks, important events, and famous figures.
The day began with an introduction to Korea’s rich cultural heritage. Students had the chance to play traditional Korean games, dress in the country’s traditional attire, and indulge in authentic Korean cuisine. Their enthusiasm peaked when they participated in a taekwondo session, learning the basics of this famous Korean martial art.
In addition to the cultural experiences, the students explored the Centre’s well-curated library, where they learned about the significant efforts made by the Korean Cultural Centre to foster strong relations between India and Korea. The visit proved to be an educational and enjoyable experience, leaving students with lasting memories and a deeper understanding of Korean culture.
This excursion highlighted the importance of cross-cultural exchanges and further strengthened the students’ appreciation for global diversity.
