Cyber Security Workshop
A Cyber Security Workshop was organized on October 15, 2024 for the students of Classes VI-VIII, led by Sub-Inspector Talwinder Singh from the Cyber Police Station, East Delhi. He was accompanied by Sub-Inspector Naresh Kumar and Head Constable Deepa, all from the same branch. The session aimed to raise awareness about online safety in an increasingly digital world. The officers highlighted the dangers of cyberbullying, identity theft, and online fraud, stressing how easily personal information can be misused if not adequately protected. Headmistress Middle Stage, Ms. Sunanda S. Kumar, also graced the event, adding significance to the session.
The officers delved into real-life examples of cybercrime, helping students understand the seriousness of online threats. Legal consequences for activities like hacking, impersonation, and unauthorized access to sensitive data were clearly explained. In addition to preventive measures, the session also covered how to recognize phishing attempts and scams, encouraging students to be vigilant. The interactive nature of the workshop allowed students to engage directly with the officers, ask questions, and share their experiences, making the learning experience both practical and engaging.
The workshop concluded with a reminder of the importance of responsible behavior on social media and online platforms. Students were encouraged to report any suspicious activity or potential threats. The officers also assured them that cybercrime units are available to assist anyone who faces online harassment or fraud. Through this initiative, students developed a stronger understanding of the digital risks and the tools they can use to protect themselves in the cyber world.
