SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON ‘NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY & Pt. NEHRU’S BIRTH ANNIVERSARY/ CHILDREN’S DAY’
“Embrace the child within you- where wonder meets courage, and every moment holds the possibility of magic.”
November 12th, Class VI-E presented a thoughtful assembly on National Education Day and Children’s Day, honouring Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
The assembly aimed to:
– Emphasise the importance of education by celebrating National Education Day and Azad’s contributions.
– Celebrate the joy of childhood in honour of Children’s Day and Pt. Nehru’s legacy.
– Express gratitude to school leaders and teachers through performances, fostering appreciation.
The assembly opened with enthusiasm as students shared educational thoughts in English, Hindi, German, and Sanskrit in the “Echoes of Excellence” segment. This was followed by a presentation on National Education Day and Children’s Day, honouring the contributions of Azad and Nehru. A poem on learning and a role-play brought their views on education and children to life, with students expressing gratitude to the Principal, Vice Principal, and Headmistress by presenting roses.
The highlight was a vibrant dance performance celebrating childhood, bringing joy to all. A book review of Discovery of India was shared, reflecting on Nehru’s vision of India’s unity. The program concluded with a song and a surprise flash mob, delighting the audience.
Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav commended the students’ efforts and appreciated the teachers’ role in organizing the event. Vice Principal, Mr. Puneet Duggal and Headmistress, Ms. Sunanda S. Kumar also praised the students’ dedication. The assembly was a fitting tribute to India’s leaders, leaving everyone inspired to honor their values and vision.
