Grandparents’ Day

Grandparents are the perfect mix of wisdom, kindness, and laughter, making every childhood memory a treasure.

On Friday, 8th November’24, the Foundation Stage of Ahlcon International School held a heartwarming ‘Grandparents’ Day’ celebration, specially curated for the grandparents of Nursery students. The day was filled with joy, laughter, and love as children and grandparents came together to celebrate the special bond they share. The thoughtfully organized event highlighted the school’s commitment to family values, intergenerational love, and respect.

The celebration began by invoking the blessings of the Almighty through the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, creating an atmosphere of positivity and reverence. The class teachers then welcomed the grandparents’ by expressing gratitude to them for gracing the occasion with their presence. As a tribute, the children presented a group song dedicated to their beloved grandparents, symbolizing the depth of their bond.

Grandparents also took the stage to share treasured anecdotes, life lessons, and stories, imparting wisdom that left a lasting impact on everyone present. A captivating dance performance by one of the grandparents, charmed the audience, showcasing the energy and joy they bring to the family.

The Director of Ahlcon Group of school, Dr. Ashok K. Pandey, Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav and Vice Principal, Mr. Puneet Duggal addressed the audience, through their motivational speech, highlighting the role of grandparents in shaping young lives and preserving family values. Their words of inspiration added depth to the celebration.

Headmistress, Foundation Stage, Ms. Pooja Shandilya also expressed her admiration for the role grandparents play in nurturing young minds and emphasizing the importance of their presence in children’s lives.

Adding an element of excitement, a fun-filled quiz was held, with winning grandparents receiving surprise prizes. The quiz was followed by a series of games that encouraged grandparents to relive their own childhoods, bringing smiles and laughter all around. An emotional segment, “Heartfelt Messages from Parents,” featured messages of appreciation and love from parents to grandparents, adding a personal touch to the event.

A special highlight of the celebration was the “Bouquet of Love” presentation—a beautiful souvenir crafted by the children as a token of love for their grandparents. The thoughtful gesture brought joy and pride to the grandparents, making the moment unforgettable.

The event concluded by grandparents sharing feedback and heartfelt messages of praise, expressing their gratitude for an unforgettable celebration.
