Children’s Day And Guru Nanak Jayanti
Ahlcon International School, Foundation Stage, little Ahlconites of Nursery D, conducted a vibrant and inspiring special assembly to celebrate Children’s Day and pay tribute to Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 14, 2024. The event was a harmonious blend of performances, creativity, and cultural appreciation, profoundly impacting the audience.
The assembly began with a warm welcome for the dignitaries, creating an atmosphere of respect and enthusiasm.
The program commenced with a delightful Puppet Show, where the teachers showcased their creativity using colorful puppets and engaging storytelling. This animated performance set the tone for a day of joy and learning.
A student then impersonated Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, delivering an inspiring speech titled “A New Dawn for India,” which reflected Nehru Ji’s vision for a progressive and united nation. The young speaker’s confidence and clarity were widely appreciated.
Following this, the children sang a melodious song, “बाल दिवस की मस्ती आयी,” celebrating the joy and innocence of childhood. Their sweet voices filled the Auditorium with happiness and positivity.
A short video presentation, “Magical Moments,” showcased the children’s school journey and participation in various activities, evoking nostalgia and joy among the audience.
Through a skit titled “Nehru’s Family Ties – The Heart Behind the Leader,” the students illustrated Pandit Nehru’s personal life and values, highlighting the familial bonds that shaped his ideals and leadership.
The assembly then transitioned to the celebration of Guru Nanak Jayanti, honoring the principles and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. A brief introduction to his teachings emphasized equality, kindness, and universal brotherhood. This was followed by a soulful rendition of the bhajan “Ek Omkar,” creating an atmosphere of peace and devotion.
The energy levels soared with the “Happy Feet” dance performance by the students, showcasing their joy and love for rhythm and movement.
The audience was then captivated by a mesmerizing Magic Show, where a magician performed tricks that left everyone, especially the children, in awe and wonder.
A special highlight of the assembly was the teachers’ and students’ collaborative dance performance, symbolizing unity and togetherness. The lively performance had the audience clapping and cheering in delight.
The program concluded with the addresses by Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, and the Headmistress, Ms. Pooja Shandilya shared thoughtful insights on the significance of Children’s Day and Guru Nanak Jayanti, encouraging students to embrace the values of kindness and emphasizing the importance of fostering creativity and moral values in young minds.
Finally, a heartfelt Vote of Thanks was delivered, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, parents, teachers, and students for making the event a grand success.
