Report on Storytelling Session by Joe Brennan

“Stories are the threads that weave us together, connecting hearts, minds, and generations.”

On 5th December 2024, the Middle Stage of Ahlcon International School hosted a captivating storytelling session led by renowned Irish storyteller Joe Brennan. Known for his dynamic narration and engaging tales, Mr. Brennan mesmerized over 100 Class VI students with four enchanting stories: The Boy and the Dragon, The Witch Hare, The Little Prince, and Jackie Chan.

The session was designed to:

– Foster active listening by building a connection between the storyteller and the audience.

– Inspire creativity and imagination by introducing students to diverse characters, ideas, and settings.

– Strengthen memory retention by presenting compelling plots, memorable characters, and thought-provoking themes.

Joe Brennan began by warmly addressing the students, setting a magical tone for the storytelling. Each story unfolded with vivid descriptions and intriguing plots, transporting the audience to imaginative worlds. From a boy inspiring a dragon to share its wisdom to a clever prince defending his kingdom and a heroic dog saving his family, every tale delivered lessons in bravery, creativity, and empathy.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students enthusiastically asked about Mr. Brennan’s inspirations and storytelling techniques. His responses encouraged them to view storytelling as a powerful form of self-expression and a way to connect with others.

This enriching session reflected Ahlcon International School’s commitment to holistic education, promoting creativity, cultural awareness, and imaginative growth among its students.
