Prep Annual Show Report
“India is not just a country, it’s a celebration of unity in diversity, where every festival, every tradition is a thread that binds us together.”
This quote perfectly captured the essence of our school’s Annual Day event, Spandan: ‘भव्य भारत, उत्सवों की धरा’ , held on 12th March 2025. The event, which celebrated India’s rich cultural heritage, was a special occasion showcasing the talents of our students from the Prep Foundation Stage. The evening focused on the themes of unity, empowerment, and the significance of festivals in bringing communities together.
The event began with a captivating performance titled Swaranjali, an orchestra performed by our youngest students from the Prep classes. The tender hands of these young performers, full of innocence and enthusiasm, skillfully played a variety of instruments, creating a beautiful and harmonious sound. Their heartfelt performance was a testament to the nurturing of talent at such a tender age, setting the perfect tone for the evening.
Following the opening performance, the audience was taken on a journey through India’s cultural richness, portrayed by the Prep students. The play depicted the empowering story of Goddess Durga, symbolizing feminine strength and resilience. The young performers, with their joy and excitement, showcased the importance of unity and strength through festivals such as Dussehra and Diwali, and the values of courage, righteousness, and selflessness that they embody.
The event culminated with a beautiful performance of Sangachaddwam and Grand Finale symbolizing unity and togetherness, a fitting end to an evening full of cultural celebration. The audience was left with a deep sense of pride and belonging, reinforced by the powerful messages shared throughout the evening.
In the midst of the celebrations, the audience was addressed by two distinguished speakers. Dr. Ashok Kumar Pandey, Director of Ahlcon Group of Schools, shared his insights on the importance of education in fostering unity and empowerment. His words resonated deeply, highlighting how cultural celebrations such as these play an essential role in shaping a strong, united community.
The Principal of our school, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, also addressed the gathering, expressing immense pride in the efforts of the students. He spoke about the importance of such events in shaping the character and values of the students, reinforcing the role of festivals in celebrating India’s diverse heritage. His words inspired everyone present, reminding them of the deep connections that bind all Indians together, regardless of their differences.
Our Chief Guest, Brigadier Trigunesh Mukherjee, a recipient of the AVSM and a prolific writer, also shared his thoughts with the audience. He emphasized the importance of spending quality time with children and nurturing their growth through meaningful interactions. His words resonated deeply with the parents and educators present, reinforcing how crucial it is to invest time in shaping the future generation, both in academic and personal growth.
The event concluded with the Vice Principal, Mr. Puneet Duggal, proposing the vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to all the distinguished guests, teachers, students, and parents for their contributions, hard work, and support in making the event a grand success. His closing words were a heartfelt acknowledgment of the collective effort of the Headmistress Foundation Stage Ms. Pooja Shandilya and the team that made Spandan a memorable celebration of India’s culture and values.
