About

Established in the year 2001, Ahlcon International School is a progressive, liberal, English medium, co-ed, Senior Secondary with 2874 students and a staff of 200. The unique location of the school in East Delhi and its reputation as a vibrant centre of excellence make it the first choice of parents in the trans-Yamuna area. The Performance of the school in the last 19 years has been outstanding in all areas.

Mr. Bikramjeet Ahluwalia, heads Shanti Devi Progressive Educational Society, Dr. Rohini Ahluwalia as Chairperson heads the managing commitee of the School and Dr. Ashok K Pandey, The Director, Ahlcon Group of Schools and Mr. Sanjay Yadav heads the school as Principal. Ours is a vision-driven school, focusing on the development of complete personality of each child, though imbibing values, capacity building, use of technology and providing an excellent learning environment.

We strongly believe that academic pursuits, sportsmanship, creative and aesthetic ideas go hand in hand with developing personal values and ability to make a difference in the society we live in.

Our International linkages with schools and organizations justify the meaning and spirit of the school motto "Global Perspective Indian Values." Scope of Education:

Ahlcon International School works as a pioneer when the term ‘Innovation’ is concerned. We strongly believe that Innovative methods once amalgamated into the curriculum have the potential not only to improve education but also to empower students. We work towards strengthening and galvanising the endeavours of the students to achieve their objectives and prepare them for the future. Teachers are aware of children with visible disabilities; the school maintains records of the same and extends support for activities.

The Ahlcon International School has had a seminal approach towards the SDG goals since the inception of Global Goals in the year 2015. The adoption of digital tools and resources, such as interactive whiteboards and educational applications like Flipgrid and Padlet, has further strengthened the school’s hybrid learning strategies, blending in-person and online education to provide a rich and flexible learning experience.

As an effective pedagogical leader, we prioritize collaboration over compliances, expertise over resources and pedagogy over curriculum. I strongly believe in leadership for understanding, for action and for reflection. Identifying, nurturing, and fostering the core strengths identified in the leadership team; empowering and motivating them to take the lead, with a sense of ownership is what has made our system grow strongly.

To lead teaching learning, it is imperative that as a school leader, I develop a culture of learning. Effective teacher learning and professional development is important for ensuring student achievement. In developing leadership team, I believe in practicing school leadership as a movement. From an academician to administrator to a manager and hence to be a leader, we develop them as reflective practitioners, meta-cognitive thinkers, and self-aware individuals.

Core functions of my school leadership include influencing others, directing others, working with others, and empowering others.

  • Leadership plus refers to the fact that there are several individuals in a school that take on a leadership role to achieve goals. They could work in parallel or in sequence.
  • Practicing leadership refers to the interactions among leaders, followers, and their situations, each influencing the other. It analyses the ‘how’ of what leaders do.
